Collection: Tom Ford

Tom Ford's fragrance empire is a masterclass in disruptive luxury. Here, the high-end Private Blend collection acts as the true money engine. It leverages controversial names and exotic, high-cost raw materials. At least, their synthetic captives mimic the ultra-premium fragrances.

The inside game is massive sillage and longevity. The holy trinity of his Private Blend, the true cultural disruptors, are Tobacco Vanille, Oud Wood, and Lost Cherry.

Tobacco Vanille is a gourmand oriental masterpiece that essentially created the modern tobacco-vanilla genre. This thick, potent scent comes with beast-mode longevity that smells like a cigar lounge and a spice market had a very opulent baby.

Oud Wood is the more subtle, creamy entry into the oud category. It focuses less on the barnyard funk of real agarwood and more on a polished, woody-spicy accord. Definitely, office-friendly but often criticized for its moderate performance for the price.

Then there is Lost Cherry, a flamboyant, almost edible scent. It’s a study in dichotomy. It thrusts open a bold, boozy black cherry and bitter almond accord of sweet and tart. The chemistry dries down into a creamy, smoky tonka bean and vanilla base.

While the brand is universally beloved, users often overspray or constantly reapply to recapture that stunning opening.
